I took Topamax over 20 years ago, and easier weight loss was a side effect but the other side effect was that I lost brain function and I wish I were kidding. It was horrible. There's a reason it's nicknamed Dopamax. It made me unable to formulate thoughts or sentences, remember simple words like 'store', god, it was terrible. Topamax was one of the only preventatives that has worked for me. I got the brain fog, the lack of appetite, some sleep issues (I kept waking up earlier every morning), the change in the taste of carbonation.
