Topamax and hair loss message boards

Topamax was one of the only preventatives that has worked for me. I got the brain fog, the lack of appetite, some sleep issues (I kept waking up earlier every morning), the change in the taste of carbonation. All of that was worth it for fewer migraines--even the brain fog while getting my PhD in science. I take these together. There's no side effects taking topamax and setraline together. My doctor also reassured me, otherwise I wouldn't be prescribed them. If you're taking topamax for seizures then sertraline can lower seizure threshold, but I think it's better than the other options. I haven't had a seizure while taking it. I took topamax for 20 years, with several breaks to try new medications. Topamax has serious side effects, but you have to take it for a long time before those effects are permanent. The fact that you regain migraines during topamax means that it stop working for you and based on personal experience, higher dosages increase your risk of worsening your headache. It was horrible. There's a reason it's nicknamed Dopamax. It made me unable to formulate thoughts or sentences, remember simple words like 'store', god, it was terrible.
