I have been having an overheating issue with my 2002 PT Cruiser for the past several months. I have tried numerous repairs and so far no luck. THe car has 76K miles. Here is a list of what has been done so far: 1. Replace Thermostat 2. Replaced Radiator cap 3. Replaced ECT Sensor 4. Checked for exhaust gasses in coolant (negative) 5. Replaced High and Low speed Relays 6. Checked. I have had ongoing problems with this car for a couple of years now. After changing the timing belt a month and a half later I started getting engine code P0016. I have since changed the camshaft sensor and wiring harness is to both camshaft and crankshaft sensor. The car continues to attempt to go into limp mode at various times when taking off but will eventually Quit and operate correctly. PT Cruiser were mind-blowing when originally released. they sold ABOVE LIST PRICE at dealers for the first few months. pt cruiser ushered in the idea of creating a desirable lifestyle car using the bones of a compact commuter (Neon). Daimler refused to invest in Chrysler and killed them. now their continued existence depends on cheap gas. Are PT Cruisers a reliable car? I'm getting my first car soon and my parents are heavily pushing me to buy this 2005 PT Cruiser convertible they found for $4,000 that only has ~70,000 miles and allegedly has no problems. I'm very skeptical about that claim since I've only ever heard horrid things about Chrysler and PT Cruisers as a whole. I'm thinking about buying my first PT Cruiser. I'd love to find a manual/stick with Woody panels. All of that plus convertible would be icing on the… I don't know much about cars so sorry if this is obvious but why are PT Cruisers so hated? I own one and my only real problem with it is how hard it is to work on. PT cruiser has a rough idle, very boggy, loss of acceleration, smells like gas,engine shaky, really crappy fuel mileage Maintenance/Repairs There were some other rap songs I listened to that just mentioned the PT Cruiser, but they weren't really about the car, and the songs weren't good anyway, so I didn't even bother to cite them. There are a surprising number of such rap songs titled PT Cruiser. Have I missed any other _decent_ songs about the PT Cruiser?.
