Pepcid ac 20 mg for dogs

Pepcid 30 to 45 minutes before mealtime, then his other pills on top of the food. You can get the generic famotidine. It comes in 10mg pills. Sam gets three 10mg pills every morning (on vet's orders); he gets them in the evening only if he's having stomach trouble. I tuck Sam's pills into a half-slice of cheese; the pills shouldn't be chewed, and if I give them naked to Sam, he'll try to. Nelly's on Pepcid twice a day for the stomach upset from her kidney disease. We've been giving it at 6 am and 6 pm. She usually eats lunch around noon and dinner around 8. The last couple of days she hasn't eaten much/any lunch, and we're wondering if the Pepcid is maybe starting to wear off just. No, Pepcid AC is not the same as Flagyl and will not treat diarrhea. It is an anti-acid, to help reduce stomach acid. IMMODIUM does treat diarrhea, and can be given to dogs if needed. You can give one tablet every eight hours (*per my former vet/employer). Sometimes, diarrhea is caused by a bacteria or virus, though, and supressing it isn't always the best thing. Flagyl treats bacterial type. The vet says to give Pepcid AC 10mg 2 times daily, before meals. What's your experiences with pepcid? Do you think it will be a permanent medication? Pepcid is a benign enough medication-- I would give it try. Might be best to give a dose at bedtime prior to a late night snack. How much does your hound weigh?? Dylan is on Amoxicilin for a puncture wound on his foot. He gets upset belly when he takes them so I want to give him some Pepcid AC. He takes them 3x a day, so when is the best time to give ABX? Quick question- is the Pepcid AC that you buy at the drugstore the same as the famotadine that the vet gives? What dosage do people give their hounds? Thanks. When mine has gas, I give a generic Pepcid AC and a Generic Gas-X. Here is the info for the Pepto. Pepto Bismol Dosage and Side Effects for Dogs Pepto Bismol is a safe medication for dogs who are suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. In a different thread, Chris (greysmom) mentioned that: NOTE Dr Brown told me today - and this was news to me, though probably not to others - that the only acid reducer that works in dogs is omeprazole. The other drugs - famotidine and ranitidine - don't do anything at al.
