Mirtazapine compared with paroxetine in major depression
Many 'trip' reports say that Mirtazapine causes hallucinations at high doses and vivid and lucid dreams at lower doses, which I would say could be used recreational. I even read on Erowid about some guy and 5 of his friends taking 10mg each of Mirtazapine each and each of them experienced hallucinations. Just have a read if anyone is interested. Mirtazapine has quite a vast pharcological profile. It's also quite a potent anti-histamine. Some people consider it a revelation for depression (which is considered a trigger in migraine attacks), others don't. Without Mirtazapine's antagonization of many the aforementioned serotonin receptors, the extra serotonin from amphetamine is likely one of the guilty parties in the anxiety, paranoia and paradoxical effects some stim users experience. ^pasha. Mirtazapine is an antiserotonergic. It blocks serotonin receptors, as opposed to preventing reuptake of serotonin like other antidepressants. Im prescribed Mirtazapine for long term sleep help and adderall for adhd. In my experiences the Mirtazapine hasn't had any effect on the effects of adderall even when taken at recreational doses. Perhaps try a couple days off the Mirtazapine and see if it has an impact? Venlafaxine and mirtazapine: different mechanisms of antidepressant action, common opioid-mediated antinociceptive effects--a possible opioid involvement in severe depression? Abstract The efficacy of each antidepressant available has been found equal to that of amitriptyline in double-blind studies as far as mild to moderate depression is. I been on mirtazapine for 3 years for major depression. It works really good for me. Mirtazapine (remeron) an antidepressant. But I really want to try DMT. Is it safe to mix them Or Will the mirtazapine kill my Dmt trip? Any info I would really appreciate it Thank you. Peace Hello everyone, new guy here I am just wondering about anyones experience on mirtazapine mainly 15mg. 2 years ago I was prescribed 15mg and it did alot for me, made me eat and sleep and feel good. I was OFF of it for about a year, to try and cope without any medication, but went back on it. whats the difference between the two? I know Mirtazapine is the newer version of mianserin but is it more potent or not? I would've thought mirtazapine would make the withdrawal worse. It's an alpha-2 adregenic receptor antagonist which is the opposite of clonidine which is use for W/D. High norepinephrine is also a key player in opiate W/D. Mirtazapine acts as NE reuptake inhibitor increasing it's levels which I thought would make the anxiety and physical W/D worse.
