Epocrates ibuprofen
I used Epocrates as a med student and just started intern year. My epocrates subscription just expired, so I need a replacement. Lexi-comp seems pretty nice. Is the Lexi-comp Clinical Suite equivalent to Epocrates Essentials? Any reason to choose one over the other? Thanks! Hi all. I'm just posting this to see if anyone has heard anything about a coupon etc., for the epocrates essential free update for med students. My one from last year only has a couple weeks left and I'm starting rotations tomorrow. Thanks! Perhaps I just missed it, but it seems as though this is the first year that there isn't any free subscription to Epocrates for medical students for the first few weeks of August? Hopefully I'm wrong and this just isn't some lame cost-cutting measure by Aetna? Well after a little more googling I guess it is North Flight AeroMed that I am wondering about. North Flight EMS is their ground division and AeroMed is their airmedical division. What program did you go to and where? Did you love it? Did you Hate it? Was it just okay? Would you refer a prospecting EMT/Medic to it? How prepared were you for the NREMT/other tests you took? How long was it? How much did it cost? I went to my community college my first time around. Epocrates is what I used 99% of the time. Both in the field and the hospital. Edit: Medscape is good, too. I work for an IFT and while stopping for lunch today I looked out the window and noticed an MVI had just taken place. We drove over to see if they needed our assistance and no units were on the scene yet so at the instruction of the police officer there trying to begin setting up a safe scene. So does Epocrates, under Pharmacology. Anyway, Epocrates is useful for when people like to use brand names for medications, as well as dosing, adverse reactions/contraindications, and mechanism of action. Pocket Medicine is better suited for medical management/empiric treatments on the fly. Epocrates essentials is way better than normal epocrates. Doesn't quite have the level of detail of uptodate but in the free phone app market it is by far superior to anything else I have seen. When AMR took over our operation we heard many stories of the FEMA ambulance graveyard and how our rigs were destined for it. Much like when all the bombers came back from WWII, I imagine a giant lot filled with ambulances of different livery just rotting in the sun. Does this place actually.
