Chest pain

When is chest pain actually serious? I've heard that you should always go to a doctor if your chest hurts, but if I did that I'd be there basically every day, not to mention flat broke. I have mild pains on a regular basis and occasional tightness. This question is the basis for the physician’s system of diagnosing the cause of chest pain. If the chest wall is tender to the touch, or if the pain occurs with movement of the shoulder, arm, etc, then a musculoskeletal cause is suspected. If the chest discomfort is related to eating, then gall bladder disease is suggested. (Chest pain) I went to the emergency room in early February due to chest pain right where my heart is. Dr did a ekg, blood tests and chest xrays and everything came back normal and dr said he doubts it cardiac related since im only 22. Stimulants can cause the chest muscles to tighten, which may certainly be painful. However, an ECG is not enough to rule out heart conditions. There are plenty of potentially fatal, structural disorders that can be seen only on a heart ultrasound or a cardiac MRI. If you're experiencing chest and arm pain when on stimulants, I'd get a cardiology appointment yesterday. I don’t know what to make of this chest tightness. I had a weird episode that lasted about 2-3 hours after taking my second 2mg dose of Reta a week ago. There was definitely a sensation in my chest of speed or pounding or tightness, but my pulse was normal. Anyone else experiencing this? When I googled what chest pain with adderall means/ indicates, it suggests that the meds can increase your heartrate, and blood pressure. This can cause heart attack, or stroke. does anybody else get sudden chest pain (left side) that goes away after a few minutes, I have been diagnosed with anxiety and I took prozac, and I am very scared that is a heart problem, I eat healthy,drink alcohol very rarely, I do smoke, did anybody had these symptoms? Then one day, I ran across an article that said hiatal hernias can mimic the feeling of heart problems, like chest pain and palpitations. I had noticed that my X-ray had shown a hiatal hernia (though doc said nothing about it to me), so I figured that might be the cause for me. Does anyone else's costocondritis pain get worse when they are laying down flat on their back? Because mine does and the only way to relieve it is to sleep on my right side (because the pain stays in my left side). I didn't have any pain today during the daytime but now it's back after laying down on my back. I'm trying to see if this is normal with costocondritis or if it could be another.
