Benadryl over

Now don't get me wrong, I know that diphenhydramine is usually used to potentiate the effects of the hydrocodone, but I'm not talking about dosing them together, as I only need the Benadryl to help me sleep. Within lies the problem---every time I start taking Benadryl to help me fall asleep, I notice a pretty large difference in my tolerance. Benadryl has it's place but can get out of hand for people that have sleeping disorders, bi-polar, Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, hallucinations and delusions. Large doses of Benadryl absolutely causes hallucinations and delusions in these disorders and waking in the middle of night it becomes even worse. Yea this is typical when abusing benadryl. Using anticholinergics to trip is not great for your body or brain, especially when using them regularly. I had a similar habbit about 7 years ago and it took about a year for the cognitive impairment to go away. I also still have vision problems that I attribute to my benadryl/dramamine abuse as I would always get very blurry vision during the trips. This was taken via Benadryl.
