The event was called “Remembering Frida” Kreative Kalpulli’s 2nd annual open art show and celebration in Frida Kahlo’s honor. Check out more flikas in the gallery posted for the event under my galleries page.
The Holidays Tamale Day that my beautiful grandma passed from her grandparents to us will never be the same again. This season is the roughest one in all my life and all we can do is continue with lonely hearts, tiahui! To all those missing their loved ones I feel you as I try to keep that fire alive and carry on with my family. Happy Holidays! Winter is coming…
Here’s another Mexica throwback pieced together with some scraps of video from Grupo Tlaloc’s Xupantla ceremony in 2012. It’s just a little something put together real quick as I took a break from writing for a couple hours. I wanted to post about our beloved Denver Broncos who play their first preseason game tonight but no video so here’s this throwback. Go Broncos!
Singing around with grandma… She even blessed us with her eagle feather and that’s more than enough for me!
Ok I realize I need a follow focus and to get my light meter and audio recorder out of the pawn shop to make better quality video. I was mostly taking pictures but just happened to turn the camera to video as I seen a moment.
I sang my grandma a peyote song but before that her and cousins were singing even better. They busted out one of her favorite songs, Camino de Guanajuato and It was good to see her having such a good day. Before we put all the songs and stuff away she went to her room and grabbed her eagle feather because she wanted to bless us all. Thank you everyone for all your good thoughts and prayers for my grandma. Cultura Cura!
