What up homies and homettes? I forgot to mention that I shot some flikas for Cinco De Mayo here in Pueblo, Coloraztlan. Check out more in the Cinco Photo Shoot Gallery on this site, or the Por Vida Pinups page on facebook. Paz!
Here’s a couple Obama throwbacks I shot while he visited Pueblo, Colorado. I don’t know why I’m posting them maybe just to show that I don’t always shoot cholos or Mexicas. I just wish he would take a better stand on immigration and free Leonard Peltier but then again what the hell do I know about politiks with my movement mind. I barely voted for the first time in my life this past election. Anyway, just thought I’d do something with the pix in this throwback post… oh yeah happy belated birthday first lady!
On January 4th, 2014 the community of Coloraztlan got together in Denver, CO to honor Jefe Xhuy Ocelotl & Carter Camp. The event was put together by Teocalli Tepeyolohtlan, Grupo Tlaloc & the Community Of Coloraztlan. It was a way for the community to mourn and also honor two great warriors. More pictures are in my “In Memoriam” gallery.
The Holidays Tamale Day that my beautiful grandma passed from her grandparents to us will never be the same again. This season is the roughest one in all my life and all we can do is continue with lonely hearts, tiahui! To all those missing their loved ones I feel you as I try to keep that fire alive and carry on with my family. Happy Holidays! Winter is coming…
Dippin through Pueblo I ran into Santa and a bunch of lowriders, even some bikers. They were about to Cruise For Toys, the 6th annual event put together by East Side Low Ride in Pueblo, Colorado. There are some more pictures from the event mixed into my Lowriders & MC’s gallery and there are also some on facebook in the Por Vida Pinups page.
Just killing time like Freddy Krugnutz killing some teenagers on Elm St. and I came across these two danza throwbacks of some Mexica Women Warriors (Yaocihuatl or Cihuayaotl). The Black and White is of Veronica marching towards La Raza Park in Denver and the color picture is of Star looking like a warrior and dancing like Dancing With The Stars -Mexica Style! Both pictures were taken during Grupo Tlaloc’s Xupantla ceremony in Denver, ColorAztlan 2012 -Tiahui!
A couple things… Please bare with me as I don’t have a camera rig right now or protools in order to give the audio a good pass. I’m tired right now so a little rough on the cut and a Tiny typo there in the credits… the song is actually “Viva Tirado” by El Chicano. Purchase it on itunes, Amazon or wherever, ya heard!
This is just a lil something to keep the mind busy and my tools from rustin, I’ll get sharper with the next one!
Here’s a THROWBACK CRUISING WITH PLAY TIMES OVER FROM PUEBLO, COLORAZTLAN. Thank you to El Chicano, Por Vida Pueblo, Manuel Perez and family as well as all the homies and homettes of Play Times Over.
